A stunning full floor 5-bedroom penthouse at Wedyan - The Canal

The Penthouse at Wedyan, a masterful creation by the renowned architect Kengo Kuma, occupies an entire floor on Level 42, offering an expansive 21,375 sq ft of luxurious living space. This stunning residence is a harmonious blend of innovative design and exquisite craftsmanship, featuring five spacious bedrooms, a Molteni-designed kitchen equipped with top-of-the-line Gaggenau appliances, and a signature terrace pavilion. With dual private entrances and a beautifully landscaped terrace that wraps around the home, this penthouse is a true sanctuary.

The layout is meticulously crafted to distinguish between entertaining and daily living. At opposite ends of the residence, two distinct wings for living and dining provide both formal reception areas and relaxed family spaces, ensuring that both private family life and grand entertaining can coexist without compromise.

At the heart of this home is a striking Molteni show kitchen, showcasing Gaggenau appliances and custom cabinetry that seamlessly integrates with the architectural design. Behind it lies a fully equipped service kitchen with its own private entrance, enhancing functionality.

The principal suite is a retreat within itself, located in the sought-after south-east corner. It boasts twin dressing rooms tailored for him and her, leading to a lavish spa-inspired bathroom with a monolithic carved stone bath and premium CEA sanitaryware. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring in natural light and open to lush, landscaped planters, providing a serene and private atmosphere.

The remaining four bedroom suites are thoughtfully dispersed throughout the home. Two suites are positioned in the northern corners, each featuring its own dressing room, while the other two are located in the south-west wing, alongside a dedicated staff suite with independent access from the service quarters. The residence is encircled by an exceptional wraparound terrace, sheltered by deep overhangs that define Kengo Kuma's architectural style. Collaboratively designed with Gustafson Porter + Bowman, the landscaped outdoor areas incorporate drought-tolerant plants and generous seating spaces, creating a tranquil garden-like environment with breathtaking views from every angle.

The material selection reflects a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic, highlighting Zena Travertine and Silver Travertine stone flooring, Pepperino Grigio Basalt surfaces in the kitchen, and rich walnut and ash timber finishes, complemented by rammed earth feature walls and natural wall coverings. Dark bronze metal detailing, brushed nickel fixtures, laminated glass shower screens, plush carpeting, and soft sheer drapes enhance the refined ambiance.

Reasons to appreciate this penthouse include its visionary design by Kengo Kuma, its exclusive full-floor layout, and the luxurious finishes throughout.
